It would be a good idea to provide the ability to customize the profile not through the GUI, but by editing the configuration file. Currently, the application does not allow you to fully change the data-ciphers encryption algorithm and much more ...

The options data-ciphers, cipher, auth, etc. can be edited in the "Advanced options" section.
The app should already give you the ability to edit all currently supported options.
It's not possible to edit the configuration file because the app saves the individual options in a proprietary format and the configuration file is created on the fly only when the VPN is connected
