Under Authentication >have Saved user and password. However, its not being used nor sent. As my password is rather complicated I'd rather not type it in for each execution.
Any help?

there are no known problems of this type. Perhaps the saved password is incorrect. You can check the VPN log for errors involving authentication. However if you are sure that the password is correct you can also try to select the "Set retries before request new password" option and set the value to 2 or 3

While it looked like the correct password, as it turns out, first character was " l " and not " 1 " which the phpBB font doesn't really show the similarity. Luckily I had a working Linux client which allowed me to compare a working openconnect vpn.
