Bypass VPN for certain websites

Post by djdoetsc »

There are some websites that appear to be blocking my VPN. Is there a way to allow certain websites to bypass my VPN without having to completely block my browser app in "app filter"?

For example, in my browser www.xda-developers.com will not load with my VPN active. If I stop the VPN it loads fine. I have only come across a couple websites this happens to.

Perhaps the problem is due to the size of the sent and/or received packets.
You can try change the "Set tunnel MTU" option.
However, to exclude a website you can enter an exclude route for its IP address

Thanks for the quick reply.

I tried the "Set tunnel MTU" option with no luck.

I found the IP address (15.197.239.251) for xda so I was going to try to set it as an exclude route but wasn't sure where I enter it.

Can you help?

You're welcome.
Probably the problem is on the server side.
Here are the steps to add the bypass route:
  • edit VPN profile
  • tap on IPv4 routes
  • tap on "+" button
  • set "Destination" to 15.197.239.251/32
  • select "Exclude"
  • tap on "OK" button
  • save the changes
