The problem could occur if the connectivity change event was received before the VPN process had fully started.
The new version 1.01.57 ensures that in this case the event is processed after the process has started.
Have you updated the app to the latest version available?
I updated the app to the mentioned version, and it seems, that the problem is solved. Yesterday and today I did not had such connectivity issues.
