Splittunneling / Killswitch ?

Post by Michi27 »

Hello,

I use VPN Client Pro with OpenVPN Profile on my Nvidia Shield Pro. I added some apps which have to use the tunnel of the VPN.
I want that the apps didn't try to connect without functional VPN-connection. If something fails, or the VPN isn't connected by some reason, the apps which added for splittunneling should have no access to the internet.

How can I do this?

With best regards

Michael

Hello Michael,

here the steps:
  • edit the VPN profile
  • tap on "Options"
  • select "Drop packets on connect/reconnect/unexpected disconnect"
  • save the changes

Hi,

thank for your help :)

Should this work even if I disconnect the VPN by myself? Should the apps then don't have access to the Internet?

With best regards

Michael

PS: Great App so far I could test :)

You're welcome.
No, if you disconnect the VPN manually it doesn't work.
If you want you can pause it, in which case the packets will continue to be discarded.
PS: Great App so far I could test :)
Thank you!
