Autoconnect not working until app is launched

I use VPN Client Pro with wireguard. It works well, and has worked for years (previously with OpenVPN).
Recently I've noticed that autoconnect no longer works properly.
Example:
  • I am on home network (no vpn)
  • I disconnect from wifi network/turn off wifi
  • Local mobile network starts up.... and no vpn connects
  • I open VPN Client Pro. It crashes (I am asked to force stop)
  • I open VPN Client Pro - it auto connects as it should
This is very consistent behavior that only started within the past week or so. I have made no changes on my end. I have fully uninstalled the app (not just cleared storage - though I have done that as well) and restored my VPN profile. I have also rebuilt the profile from scratch.
The problem continues.

Auto connect monitor looks correct; everything is setup as it always has been.

Hello,
there are no known issues of this kind at the moment and the tests I have done have not shown any problems.
Can you kindly try to install the latest beta version and tell me if the problem is solved?

In the meantime the new production release 1.02.05 has been released. Can you kindly try it?
