Autoconnect has problem with 3 hotspots with same SSID

Hello,

I am using VPN Pro with WireGuard and Autoconnect.
Wireguard will connect everytime, except it is connected to my home network. So I ticked these options:

- connect, if mobile network is connected
- connect, if WLAN is connected - except <my home network SSID>
- disconnect the connection, if WIFI is interupted or SSID is not allowed

At home I have 3 accesspoints - one in each floor (but same SSID). Unfortunately the connection will we established, if I change the floor and my mobile switchs from one AP to the other (Autoconnect establish immedeatly to my wireuard server - but SSID should prevent this!). This results, that the complete network connection is unavailable, as VPN to my homenetwork is not possible. The complete mobile phone is offline, what is VERY bad.
And I don't get a notice. Sometimes, the wireguard will disconnect after a while and everything is fine, sometimes not and the mobile stays offline (because wireguard connection in my homewlan do not work!)

Is this a bug? How can I prevent the auto connection, if I "roam" from one AP to the other (with same SSIDs)?

Hello,

the VPN log also shows the connectivity change events and the reason for the connection.
Please, check the VPN log for the reason for the auto connection.

• start the app

• tap on VPN profile

• tap on LOG tab

I cant find any "reeson" in this log.
The only reason is:
"Connect request by auto connect (Mobile)"

My assunmption is: Between roaming between AP1 and AP2 the mobile phone connects for some mili seconds to the mobile network, before connects to Access Point 2. In this mili second, VPN software tries to connect to my Wireguard Server. In the meantime, the phone is already connected to Accesspoint 2.
If this is the case, then a small "wait command" would help (before VPNClient Pro vonnect to the VPN network ...)

Any more hints?

Hi,
here a typical Log - this time it worked (after some seconds, it disconnected VPN again). Logs looks almost same, if it do not disconnect (I can see only the last log - if it happens again, and I am able to catch the log I will post it here).

Yes, the previous log is deleted when the VPN is started.
From the log it appears that your device takes some time before sending the connectivity change event. These events are sent by the operating system and the app simply reacts to the events received.
To better understand what is happening you can try temporarily disabling the auto connect settings, start the VPN manually and move to cause roming between two APs.
In this way the log will show all the events received for the change in connectivity...

Perhaps the problem could be caused by a Wi-Fi setting such as "Intelligent network connection" or "Intelligently select best Wi-Fi"

Now a log, when it stucks on trying to connect to VPN - and phone is offline - the messages will not end, until I manually start / stop VPN again.
It looks a little bit different.

Hi,
as requested, I switched ON VPN manually (disabled Auto Connect), and moved from one AP to the other. You can see again, that for 1 sec the mobile phone switched to mobile before it connetcs to the second AP. That is IMHO to fast for VPN Client Pro.

I checked also my mobile, and there is an option "Wifi+" - to optimize Wifi / Mobile Internet switching. But it was and is switched off.
